Individuals with a perceptual disorder have limitations in their ability to appropriately gather and process information. In a given situation, they may perceive important information only partially and struggle to interpret it correctly. The behavior of others is often misunderstood. Tasks outside familiar routines can be very challenging and may lead to difficult behaviors or withdrawal. A disorder of perception is not a standalone diagnosis but often occurs alongside other conditions (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and behavioral disorders, acquired brain injury, multiple disabilities).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We offer courses on topics such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and others. For families with a child with ASD, APW provides the unique TAU course<\/a> ). Parents can also participate in an Affolter Model\u00ae course<\/a> .
