Recognitions

The APW promotes the sound application and dissemination of the Affolter Model® through a structured qualification system. It is very important to us to ensure high quality in teaching and application.
From training to teaching qualification

APW-recognized additional qualifications

The APW issues various additional qualifications on application after appropriate further training (APW-recognized courses). The first level is recognition as an Affolter therapist in the Affolter Model®. The subsequent qualification as an instructor or senior instructor in the Affolter Model® entitles the holder to teach various APW-recognized courses in the Affolter Model®.

Therapist in the Affolter Model®, APW-recognized

  • Completed APW-recognized basic course with passed teaching/learning objective check
  • Application of the Affolter Model® directly with affected persons in clinical or educational settings (at least 300 h/year)
  • APW membership
Conditions as PDF

Instructor in the Affolter Model®, APW-recognized

  • Qualification as a therapist
  • Successful first assistance in a basic course
  • Co-management with a senior instructor of 3 introductory modules/courses within 3 years
  • Participation in 1 advanced course
  • APW membership

Senior Instructor in the Affolter Model®, APW-recognized

  • Successful first assistance in an entire basic course
  • Successful second assistantship in a basic module and a certification module
  • Case presentation or written preparation and implementation of a teaching unit in a course week with subsequent evaluation discussion involving a member of the «Professional Matters» committee at the end of the second assistantship or preparation of a case study
  • Co-leading with a senior instructor in a basic and certification module
  • APW membership
