Courses for professionals

Your further training with the APW course system

We are a network of professionals and relatives across Europe dedicated to supporting people with disorders of perception. Some of our professionals have also completed teacher training and are therefore authorized to lead APW-recognized courses. Decades of combining research, theory, and practice have shaped this model into a practical and effective approach for those affected. It is applied in a variety of settings, such as neurological centers, remedial and special education schools, outpatient occupational and speech therapy, as well as residential care, day programs, and supported employment.

Further training

The APW supervises the APW-approved courses on the Affolter Model®. Courses offered at various venues can be found in the course overview.

Quality assurance

We issue regulations to ensure the quality of the Affolter Model® courses. This includes both course content (e.g. curricula for APW-recognized courses) and the qualifications of instructors.

Network

We network through regional and intervision group meetings and the organization of information events. Members benefit from reduced prices or free offers.
