TAU – Autism-Specific Family Education®
Do you often find that parenting a child with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is especially challenging? Does everyday family life sometimes feel overwhelming? Do you feel left to manage on your own? Are you looking for targeted support that goes beyond a single therapeutic model or educational approach? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
A course for parents of children with autism
APW offers this course to support you in the everyday challenges of parenting a child with an autism spectrum disorder. It provides a form of training specifically tailored to your family’s unique situation. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic and support approaches, we work together to develop practical strategies to help you manage daily family life. The course also fosters close cooperation with selected organizations.
During the parenting course, the focus is on the individual situation of each family. Together with the course leader, you will develop alternative action and communication strategies that can be applied in your daily family life. A practice week provides a hands-on training environment and an opportunity for mutual exchange between families. The transfer of these strategies into everyday life is supported through optional participation in a follow-up course.
